Corporate Editorial: BW industrial CEO

After Covid 19, more and more companies chose to moving parts or whole production out of China. Manufacturer want to mitigate risk and optimizes cost, which means they need to move to somewhere stable, but not too far from China. No matter what you think, China right now has refined their manufacturing chain and logistic to the most efficient point.

So, which candidate would be the most suitable? Enter Viet Nam.

Viet Nam has recently become a manufacturing hub. After Doi Moi, Viet Nam has been moving fast and highly support private sector and FDI.Viet Nam and China also share border, and logistically, material and machines can be transported quick and easy. Viet Nam signs a lot of FTAS with many countries and regions. Overall, Viet Nam is the best choice after China, if manufacturer want a second option.

In southern Viet Nam, there is a rising star for the manufacturing company, Binh Duong. Governor of Binh Duong has been quick and smart to develop the province. They built infrastructure and attracted investors by great taxation and land rental deal.

Warburg Pincus, a private equity firm, has formed a joint venture with Becamex, an industrial development company in Binh Duong, named BW industrial development company. BW focuses on developing new industrial parks in Binh Duong, a steadily growing sector.

Lately we have had a chance to do a corporate editorial photoshoot for the CEO of BW industrial company, Mr. Lance Li, commissioned by CEO magazine.

Lance arrived in Viet Nam just before Covid. It was tough time, since Viet Nam applied strict policy, especially in Ho Chi Minh city. It was a turbulent time, but he managed to overcome it.

Lance was very easy on us, the production team. We asked him for one hour shooting, and he happy gave his time for us, which we deeply appreciated.

Since we didn’t have much time on shooting day, our photographer needed to scout the day before. We want to ensure everything went smoothly in corporate editorial like this. We decided to make the hero photographs at the entrance area, where they put BW led sign at reception. The staff were so helpful and let us move stuff around to get better and clean angle.

The lighting was simple. We used strobe light with a big softbox, give us the right amount of light and contrast for portrait like this.

And Lance, he was charming. He knew what was needed for a photoshoot, as he was behind the camera (he actually was). He supported us all he could, and we could not ask for more. Terrific man!

Yes, nothing could be done without support from our client. We’re deeply thankful for Lance and his team.
