Be Happy: Red design gp product showcase
Design process is a long and complex process. Product design even take longer, with multiple rounds of design and redesign. But when all hard work comes to fruition, you’ll proud of it.
Red design group is an Australian firm, based in Melbourne, New York and Ho Chi Minh city. They were assigned to design a new in-house product line for Co.opmart, a supermarket chain in Viet Nam (which also our client).
Their product line includes 3 lines:
- Happy for basic products, like household appliances
- Select is better products, deliver better quality.
- Finest is high quality products, disticnt from other two.
To show their design in real life, they want photographs instead of using 3D rendering images. Although 3D rendering is quick, more polished and perfect, it lack of real life feel.
At Calme, we offer product photography services with attention to details. We dont over-smooth photograph, we just refine it.
I approached this one with an idea to differentiate each product line by using color. And as you can see, Monotone color was used for Happy line
And Select line goes with duotone color.
For Finest, we chose the black, deep powerful black.
All sets were in Studio.
Finest is really challenging. On black background, we have to separate product out of the dark. And the label. Finest label is made of shining golden metallic material. If you dont light it properly, it will lost the shining effect, label becomes dull and lost its high end feeling. It tooks sometimes to get it right, but we made it.
Product photography, especially a conceptual product photography asks for great attention . Our team put a lot of effort to make it come to life, and when we see the final result, everything was worth it. We sincerely thank everyone there who helped us achieve this!
