Hacchic Couture: the journey

Recently i had a chance to photograph Hacchic latest collection

Hacchic couture is a fashion brand based in Ho Chi Minh city, Viet Nam. Founded by Tra Linh, fashion designer, their first collection focused on wedding dresses. Relentlessly designing and developing, after 10 years, they are now among biggest player in wedding market. Now they also expand their product line into couture dress.

At their latest show recently, i photographed some of their new designs, with the idea about backstage images of their dress combined with some behind the scene photos. This collection is very chic and elengant, so i have to find the way to show it in the images. Not an easy task, but the dresses, models and hair and makeup artists are all top-notch, it’s not something impossible. Shout out to all team that make this show possible.

Since i couldnt set up a big set, and due to location restriction, i opted for big flash with tremendous power to kill all the ambient light and everything around. More important, a big powerful flash supplies quality light to make dress color and form pops. Nothing more important than a beautiful dress showing its true color. For that, i used Elinchrom power pack. 400ws is plenty of light, which allow me to close the aputure down while still maintain low iso. Elinchrome didnt disappoint me.
